Turning a legacy site into a world-class marketing powerhouse

One of my favorite projects at Pinterest? Leading the charge to completely reinvent our main digital properties: Pinterest Business and the Pinterest Newsroom.

When I took over as site lead, Pinterest Business had just migrated from an old Drupal platform. My job: build it out on Contentful—and transform it into a modern, high-performing marketing engine.

As site lead, I led the operation—hiring and managing the team, shaping the roadmap, allocating budgets, and making the tough calls on design and content. Under my leadership, we launched brand-new news sections, resource hubs, campaign landing pages, and rolled out site availability in 30+ languages. I set the tone for a cross-functional dream team of 20 writers, designers, engineers, and producers, keeping everyone aligned on a shared vision.

We also completely reimagined the Pinterest Newsroom. I hired the team, helped set the editorial direction, and applied all the best practices we developed from the Business site. The result? One of the most elegant, user-friendly newsroom sites in tech—a go-to resource for press covering Pinterest.

The impact was huge. The Business site became a high-ROI marketing machine, driving brand awareness and online ad sales, especially in regions where we had no sales team on the ground. Plus, the content we launched through Pinterest Business consistently landed in top-tier press coverage—helping Pinterest punch above its weight in the digital marketing world.
